You Just got Litt Up.
Louis Litt is by far the best character in Suits. I know most of the fanboys and fangirls of the show will want to jump down my throat for saying this, but I have perfectly good reasons to feel so.
Firstly, Harvey Specter maybe the main protagonist of the show. The perfect stereotype of cocky demeanor and perfectly good looking. Is too flawed, What is his agenda in the entire show? Like seriously! Wear perfect fitting suits and behave rudely? Like every other person with a high IQ he is emotionally cold and unavailable and his character is only made to look good by being complemented with the other characters around him. For example, Donna, Mike, Louis and Jessica. Without these main characters around him I wouldn't be able to make a difference between him and a wall flower.
Secondly, Mike Ross. Mike is so full of crap that his storyline gets boring after a while. His Eidetic memory is his only saving grace. Okay not the only saving grace cause there is Rachel around. But is that enough to be the co-protagonist of the show? No, At least not in my opinion.
Suits kicks off with great style and brutal aggression. As it progresses, particularly in the later part of the first season, entire second season and first half of the third season it just doesn't deliver up to what was promised. Slow, dull and repetitive; yet it somehow manages to keep the addiction intact and enough to sit through it all. This is where I would actually applaud the show.
This saving grace for me was Louis Litt. He is not perfect, he is not good looking, he wears overly sized suits, his expressions are hilarious. He is the best character in the show. Some might argue that he is too simple and plain, thats the beauty of it! When one is getting bored with the elongated story-lines of Harvey and Mike throughout these drab patches the creators of the show very shrewdly bring in Louis to balance the odds. Not only that, Louis's story-lines are much more interesting than Perfect Harvey and Harvey Jr. His antics bring a smile on the viewers face and his tactical moves take us to the edge of the seat. Not even going into his kind and understanding heart.
Ever so often we all come across a Louis Litt in real life and they, end up being our heroes or someone who would shape our life for the better. And many of us have been Louis at some point of time. So here's to Louis Litt, who may not be the best closer in the city or the one with the best memory yet he is the common man's hero.
