Arguably the most purest of emotions, Righteous anger.
Displeasure, irritation, resentment, vexation, annoyance and exasperation. Few words which people may use to express anger. But how would you describe anger?
Anger comes straight from the heart. There is no thinking involved in it. If your anger towards someone is stemmed through your brain, when you can measure your anger then you are just being what we may term as 'Calculated Evil'. Yes the reason for anger to be argued as the purest of emotions is because it comes from the heart just like love. But this post isn't to discuss about love and anger, only anger.
The feeling and execution of the emotion of anger is from the heart and heart alone. One can say that when you feel angry your heart takes the temporary function of the brain. In other words it orchestrates the action. Yes, we have all learnt that the brain is responsible for all the physical actions that we execute, but can't we make an exception for anger?
One can argue that most of the people can control their anger, that they chose not to react even when they are pushed to the edge and sometimes even beyond. What they mistake for control is habit, conscience and in some cases indifference. It isn't the working of the brain that prevents the action and exercises control over the heart. There the conflict is between the heart and the heart itself. Maybe that it wasn't even actual anger.
When you feel any connection with a person its only natural that their actions you find out later bring out emotions inside you. This connection can be a negative connection or a positive one and their actions bad or good would force the corresponding emotion within you.
Coming back to anger, Is it possible to feel angry on someone or something when you have no connection with them? That is a point to ponder upon.
Have you ever felt so angry that you just want to scream your lungs out. Do you feel each and every cell inside you boiling hot or in the very rarest or rare cases calm and cold. Do you feel an energy within yourself which you never knew existed before. An energy so strong that you feel that you could tear up the person who scorned or spurned you if he or she were right in front of you. If the above feelings are true to you then you have experienced Righteous anger. (I have left out the question marks cause those weren't questions but suggestions)
The thing about righteous anger is that its a positive energy and not a negative one as most people have stereotyped it into being. It could be stereotyped as a negative energy because the actions are considered a crime in the modern world. But I am not talking about the judgmental societies around us. I am talking about spirituality! Where you are not encumbered by the rules and obligations of the make believe 'Humane world'. Spiritually speaking righteous anger is the most positive energy a person is ever capable of uncovering within oneself.
What you use this positive energy for is entirely on you. This is where the freedom of choice comes into play. The medium of outlet of this anger, is the only basis of determining what type of person you will be. That is all just judgmental bullshit, and I am not here to pass judgment.
Just remember the next time you feel righteous anger, that this is the real you! All the pretenses aside this is the purest form of you which you will ever find within yourself. Not even true undying love can rival this, No. Though love can walk hand in hand with anger, which I will go into detail in one of my next posts.
