Read this somewhere and not quite able to place the source of it, found it oddly funny.
"Time is precious. Waste it wisely."
Have you ever been in a situation where you just sit and stare into the empty nothingness and just imagine a hundred million things at a lightning speed, registering everything and nothing at the same time?
Starting with a thought, a very genuine and resourceful thought but ending up miles away in a matter of seconds. If you have been in such a situation more often than not, then you are definitely an artist. Do not take anyone's word on it, because people are both negative and positive. You may ask me what is the need for this particular post which doesn't seem to suggest anything, and maybe it is suggesting everything. There is an artist in everyone I say, One which we are too fearful to allow outside because we are consumed by the fear of rejection.
Does an artist really have to be fearful of anything at all? If all the artists throughout the vast history which precedes us had not fought that fear, we would never be able to witness their eccentric genius.
The first question that one should ask themselves is "What is my art?". Yes, you maybe an artist but until you realize what form of art you are best at you won't be able to tap it and hone it. It could be anything under the sky or in it. Thats the most difficult part of being an artist. You need to find that one thing which you can do better than everything else.
I am not a counselor hence I will not be able to help you find that skill or art within yourself. Yet if you have ever found yourself in that place where no one can find you. That oblivion in your thoughts where you can; not just walk or run but fly, disintegrate into a million pieces and one, Or evolve into a hundred thousand or a million different things at the flicker of second. Then you are definitely an artist and you only have to find that artist inside you.
Do not tame the beast within you take time and unleash it. Emotions, actions and other things are already within you and you only need to walk towards them or run towards them. They will sense your coming and fly out to meet you.
You never try anything. You either do it or not. There is no trying.
Being philosophical. xx
